Associate Project Manager
The Associate Project Manager (Hybrid) is located in Mountain View, CA. This position will manage and ensure the success of in-house and affiliate companies’ short-term & long-term projects. This position will manage on-going projects and initiate new projects that align with the organization’s top-line objectives. Native level Japanese communication is necessary to work with multiple teams in the US and Japan
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Execution and coordination of domestic and global projects for internal and affiliated companies
- Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Confirm resource availability and allocation
- Create comprehensive project documentation
- Support Post Merger Integration activities.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and BCP when necessary
- Work with multiple departments and group company teams to develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
- Utilize verification techniques to assess changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
- Manage relationships with all stakeholders.
- Translation of project related Japanese documents to English
- Translation in project meeting with Japanese speaking counterparts
Position Requirements (Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position)
- Solid: organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding and the know-how to manage multiple projects from beginning to end
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- PMP, CAPM, PPM, or PRINCE II certification is preferred.
- Comprehension of ERP systems
- Business level proficiency in English & Japanese
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred Business or Science Degree)
- PMP / PRINCE II certification (Preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate environment
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in Japanese
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
- Professional office environment.
- Travel to affiliate companies, etc.
Physical Demands
- Long periods of sitting continuously up to 2 hours at a time and up to 8 plus hours total in a day
- Frequent use of hands (mouse, keyboard, writing) continuously up to 2 hours at a time and up to 8 plus hours total in a day
- Frequent viewing of computer screen continuously up to 2 hours at a time and up to 8 plus hours total in a day
- Travel throughout US and Japan

Wage Range
$70,000 – $82,000
Travel Demands
Approximately 10% Travel (domestic & international)
